Behind the works

My work embodies everyday representational objects, encounters through observations, and eccentric personalized experiences in 2 and 3-dimensional configurations, such as painting and ceramic sculpture. I connect personal experiences and mundane events. Simple subject matters, specific locations, and human-made elements inspire my compositions, informing a personal narrative and perspective on living in 21st-century Los Angeles. I use realistic color, exaggerated scale, playing with space, and varied perspectives to portray sights in unexpected ways. My work functions as an appreciation of and a renewed outlook on the surroundings that constitute my reality.
